Upcoming kids activities at the farm

Engaging the younger generation with food, how it is grown and the importance of healthy eating is at the heart of our Community Engagement at the farm. And it's not just what they're learning about that's important - it's getting them outside, (a little bit muddy!) and engaged with the nature around them that is just as important.

After the success of the Easter holiday children's activity days, this summer half-term we have two more in store: Farm Forest School (9-11 year olds) and Little Growers (6-8 year olds). For those budding actors and actresses out there we also have a fantastic opportunity for children to work with a professional director here on the farm to re-create a Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in our Play in a Day which will kick start our Midsummer Picnic on 22nd June.

School visits to the farm
In addition to children's activity days in the holidays we are also welcoming School trips to the farm and next week will see our first school visit of the year - a year 1 class that will be walking to the farm from Chew Stoke Academy! We've had a lot of interest from local schools which is fantastic and we'd also like to drum up interest in the Bristol and Bath areas.

If you're a parent and are interested in your child coming to the farm on an educational visit then do mention us to their school! More info on our school visits can be found here.
