Best wishes to our five Trainees who have been taking part in the Soil Association’s Future Growers scheme.
Carl, John, Neill, Anna and Ahmed have been such a wonderful part of The Community Farm this season. We wish them well now they have completed their traineeship.We have been delighted by their enthusiasm for organic growing and their good honest graft. They have contributed crucial labour in the field, the warehouse and, on occasions, at the market.
The Soil Association’s Future Growers scheme provides comprehensive training in organic horticulture, with participants working alongside organic experts who are passionate about training the next generation and passing on their skills and knowledge. Farm-based work is combined with a series of structured seminars to build upon the practical knowledge gained out in the field.
