Summer Forest School

Summer Forest School

Set in a stunning woodland in Chew Stoke, this summer we've got something special. If your kids are aching to get outdoors, get muddy and get creative then here's their chance.

We have three Forest School sessions for children aged from five to eleven years old.

Children will have the opportunity to explore the wonder of the forest, cook over a camp-fire, use simple hand-tools to make musical instruments from the forest, play games and get muddy! It is the perfect summer holiday antidote to the school classroom.

Please note there are no toilets on site so please be aware that children will be going to the toilet 'al fresco', albeit in privacy.

Dates:

Sessions are held on Thursdays: 6, 13 and 20 August.

10am-12.30pm: Young shoots (five to seven year olds).

1.30pm-4pm: Saplings (eight to 11 year olds).

Cost:

Children get the most from Forest School sessions when they attend regularly. For this reason, the more sessions you book the cheaper they are per session. All sessions include either a hot drink or snack.

Book one session: £19

Book two sessions: £34

Book three sessions: £45

Who:

Claire Rosling from Earthwise will be running the sessions along with a volunteer. Claire is Forest School Level 3 qualified, First Aid trained and CRB checked.

All volunteers present are also CRB checked. Claire also runs educational visits to The Community Farm.

Where:

The woodland is located in Chew Stoke, very close to Chew Valley Lake. You will be sent directions upon booking.

How to book:

We will be taking bookings through our Eventbrite page:
