Our regular volunteering programme happens all year round. Field volunteers are invited to help with general farm work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also run regular wildlife surverying sessions between March and October.
Field volunteering
Our field volunteers help out with a huge variety of tasks which change through the seasons and encompass all aspects of tending our crops. From preparing the ground, to planting, weeding, maintaining and harvesting (plus a bit of very important taste-testing too!). Don't worry - you don't need to have any experience, you will learn alongside us when you get involved.
Wildlife surveying volunteering
Farming is about so much more than feeding people. Caring for our wildlife and our environmental impact is really important to our work. We have opportunities for volunteers to help us become a more nature-friendly farm by surveying the bumblebees and butterflies which call our farm home. There is no need to have any experience, we are a team of excitable enthusiasts rather than experts (although if you do have particular wildlife ID skills, we would LOVE to hear from you!). If you would like to know more about how to help out with these surveys, please contact Emmy
Your role as a volunteer is an hugely important part of our overall ethos and the work we do. We greatly value your input, both physical and in the form of any ideas or feedback you may have. The Farm operates a volunteering programme that is open to all, promoting community involvement and skills development within a sociable and supportive environment. If you have specific support needs, please speak to the Engagement Lead or Community Farmer, who will endeavour to provide you with what you need. Please refer to our equal opportunities policy for more information on this.
