We grow a wide variety of brightly coloured squash here at The Farm, it's always such a joy to see them piled high in the warehouse ready for customer boxes!
Our Field Team cure these magnificent veg to perfection which means that, when kept in a dry, ventilated and cool spot (ideally at around 12°C), this veg should last for months!

Grey/blue skin revealing bright orange flesh when sliced into.
It has a sweet flavour and smooth texture. One of the best varieties for long term storage.
A small, orange squash with white and green flecking.
Firm, tender flesh, best roasted to bring out its mellow flavour.
Old heirloom variety originally from France with an orange cap and striped, bulbous base.
Semi-dry, semi-sweet flesh, best roasted or in soups.
Japanese ‘red onion’ variety.
Bright orange/red skin, teardrop-shaped with a sweet nutty flavour.
Green/black skin, yellow flesh and a sweet flavour.
Use the same way as Gem squash; chop, roast and eat with the skin on!
Dark green skin with thin white/pale green stripes.
It has a sweet taste, similar to roasted chestnuts.
Small yellow/orange in appearance with smooth, moist textured flesh.
Less sweet than other varieties of squash.
A small variety of butternut squash with the classic bright orange flesh and sweet taste.
Does not keep as well as other squash, so consume within a few weeks.
