Wonderful Winter Wassail - Sat 19th Jan

Wonderful Winter Wassail - Sat 19th Jan

Come and join us as we celebrate the opening of our beautiful new 'Yurt for Learning' at our first ever Wassail!

Wassailing is an ancient custom which stems from a pagan ritual for promoting a good apple harvest for the coming year. We'll be singing to the trees, drinking mulled cider and all sorts of other general merry making!

Alongside the ceremony we have all sorts of other things planned for you including an Organic Bake-Off for your chance to win an eight course taster menu for two at local Michelin starred restaurant The Pony and Trap; an interactive art installation exploring our relationships with food, land and community; wassail lantern makingchildren's activities;  hot food fresh from our fields; hot drinks;  mulled cider and farm tours.

This is a great opportunity to come and learn about the farm, see our fabulous new yurt and in particular, learn about our exciting developments with the lottery funded Community Engagement project.

We ask for a contribution of £5 per adult (children free) to cover costs for the minibus.

To book your place on the minibus, please select this preference when registering for your free ticket.
