Here you can download The Community Farm's draft strategic plan for 2017–2020.
We'd love to hear your feedback on ways we could improve it.
Since 2008, when the idea for The Community Farm was first explored, we have successfully put into place most of our early intentions.
Our original business plan and strategic plan now need updating. The elected board members, all of them volunteers, have therefore been working hard during 2016 together with staff to crystallise our plans for the next few years and beyond.
As always happens with this kind of a process, the actual work of creating a plan leads to things happening, and has a value over and above that of producing a written document. Nevertheless, we now have a draft strategic plan 2017-2020 that is neat and tidy enough to share with our members and friends. We are sharing this in draft form via our website so that:
- members and friends can see the vision and plans that we have for the farm going forwards
- members can send us any thoughts or feedback for strengthening the plan or improving it
- anyone who wants to help us with our aims can see if there are specific resources that they might feel able to help us with.
If you have feedback on the draft strategic plan please email by 30 April 2017.
If there is help you can give please let us know. We are always looking for new board members who bring skills and expertise that relate to the farm’s purpose. As you will see from the plan, there are many developments that will need new investment. So if you would like to donate towards sponsoring a specific item or to the farm generally then do get in touch.
We intend to produce a polished version of the strategic plan laid out nicely and with photographs, plus a short summary version, once we have received any feedback. This will be used for sharing with partners, members, potential funders, and other projects that are interested in what we are doing.
