The Community Farm has launched a £20,000 appeal to help support their future growth.
The 15-acre organic farm, located between Bristol and Bath, needs to update its aging equipment so they can continue providing opportunities, and making a difference to the community.
The funds will pay for key pieces of kit, including a power harrow, a new cover for a polytunnel, a kitchen for their roundhouse, a fork-lift truck, and a Luton van.
Built from scratch just seven years ago, the much-valued social enterprise provides hands-on learning experiences for local children, adults and vulnerable people. It also delivers organic veg boxes to more than 600 customers, and encourages wildlife through nature-friendly farming methods.
The fundraiser ends on Friday, November 9th - which gives the organic champions just six weeks to reach their target. Friends of The Farm, including Better Food Company, Poco Tapas Bar, Demuth’s of Bath, Yurt Lush, Valley Fest and others, have already backed the appeal by offering generous perks to those donating.
Managing Director, Ped Asgarian, said: “ The Community Farm is beginning to build for the future, and having the right tools to do this is imperative to that goal.
“We have a wonderful network of friends and organisations who believe in The Farm as much as we do, and we know we have a great chance of making this target.
“The future of local farming depends on it!”
