New share offer!

The Community Farm's first share offer raised an incredible £126,136 from 409 investors. This enabled us to take over the existing box scheme, growing and wholesale business from the Better Food Company and start up as The Community Farm in April 2011. Nearly six months on, the Farm is now looking to raise a further £100,000 through a second share offer.

The business has been going well with regular box scheme customers and some lovely produce being grown on the farm. There have been events and volunteering opportunities throughout this time too. To continue to develop and implement the Business Plan further, the Farm's now offering the chance to buy a share in it to raise the funds required for more equipment (including replacing our old tractor!), agricultural buildings for storage as well as funding towards the development of our education programme - an important part of what we want to achieve at the farm. This will enable us to reconnect more people with where their food comes from, provide education on sustainable food, organic growing and food security as part of this project to transform farming.

You can become a part of The Community Farm by investing any amount between £50 and £20,000. The closing date for applications is 30th November 2011.
