We are very excited to announce that Earthwise will be the second recipient of support from The COVID-19 Fund.
Founded by Claire Rosling in 2015, Earthwise aims to get more children outdoors and re-connected with food, farming and the natural world.
Claire came to us with the idea of using a grant from The Covid Fund to develop free, nature-inspired activity boxes for low income families.
This article on the Earthwise website explains exactly what this project entails and why this is an important and worthy cause, one that we hope will bring the benefits of exposure to natural environments to a greater number of children (and their parents).
We're confident that Claire's project will have a positive and meaningful impact. The Farm has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Earthwise over the years, and we've seen firsthand what a fab job Claire does in helping kids to experience and reimagine the natural world in a novel and inspiring way. We're excited to see how she will translate that process into this new format, and want to do everything we can to support her in that journey.
Earthwise activity boxes will be distributed to low-income families identified by schools and food banks within the Bristol and BANES locality. We will provide progress updates as Claire brings this concept to life, and hope that this new opportunity will help families connect with nature and keep children entertained during these challenging times.
