We are delighted that Luke Hasell has been shortlisted for the BBC Food and Farming Awards' Outstanding Farmer of the Year. He is one of just three finalists.
Luke is both a Community Farm board member and owner of the land on which we farm. He was instrumental in setting up The Community Farm and has provided much support to The Farm over the years. Luke also manages The Story Group and his own 500 acre farming enterprise close to Bristol.
Outstanding Farmer of the Year is awarded to a farmer who has made an outstanding contribution to farming with cutting edge thinking and creative ideas. We wish Luke every success when the winner is announced in May.
Watch out for Luke (filmed at The Community Farm) on BBC One's Countryfile on Sunday 27th April at 18.45, when the BBC Food and Farming Awards finalists will be profiled. The Outstanding Farmer of the Year finalists are profiled on Radio 4's On Your Farm programme.
