- Wassail 2024
Come and gather around the fire, to toast and bless the orchard trees, and learn traditional Wassail songs (no talent or experience necessary, just enthusiasm!) with folk singer-songwriter Susanna Waters.
You'll have the opportunity to make yourself a fabulous Wassail crown to take home and there will be lots of other seasonal crafts to take part in on the day.
For the first time at a Farm Wassail we are delighted to be selling our very own cider, made from the apples which our wonderful Wassailers blessed last year. We have a medium sparkling and a dry still cider, both single variety Katy, and it is not for sale anywhere else so you'll have exclusive access to it! We've also got our gorgeous single variety apple juices, as well as hot drinks and seasonal soups and sweet sustenance from our field, so bring your appetite and any noisy instruments you might have!
This event is partially funded by The Farming in Protected Landscapes fund. Entry is FREE with the option of donation. Takings from our refreshments and any voluntary donations go towards our community and conservation work. Please give generously if you can.
*Please note that this is an outdoor event so if we need to cancel due to the weather, we will notify you by January 25th 2024.
